Tuttosport: The latest on Milan’s outgoing mercato – from Adli to Origi

By Isak Möller -

In addition to reinforcing the squad with some signings this summer, AC Milan will also part ways with several players. There are a couple of obvious ones, such as Yacine Adli and Ante Rebic, but there will be more goodbyes.

The management isn’t happy with the players that were brought in by Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara, with the exception of Malick Thiaw, and sales are thus being evaluated. Divock Origi, as highlighted by Tuttosport (via MilanNews), is one of the obvious ones.

The striker, who arrived on a free transfer from Liverpool, has a hefty salary and Milan could ship him off to Turkey or England in order to make a capital gain. Another player linked with a move to Turkey is Ante Rebic, who’s certain to leave for a small fee (between €5-10m).

Moving on, the likes of Yacine Adli and Charles De Ketelaere have both failed to impress thus far. A loan is likely for the Frenchman, seeing as he hasn’t even been given a chance, while Milan would need an offer of at least €28m to sell the Belgian.

Finally, movement is expected on the right and both Alexis Saelemaekers and Junior Messias are at risk. The Brazilian is more likely to leave, but the Belgian could generate a capital gain.

  1. Maybe it’s because they were brought in by Maldini that’s why Pioli rarely plays them, Adli, Vrancxk, CDK, It’s better if they go to Monza on loan, they will shine

  2. We only want to buy youth but won’t give them a fair chance and then sell in a year for a LOSS??? Great policy. In fact it will be more costly this way then buying a more established talent.

Why? Because we will take a loss on these player and then have to buy for the same positions again the next season. So we paid 10M for Adli and 35M for CDK. Why would anyone club give us close those figures? So we will sell both for a loss and then have to buy again and maybe those new players develop and turn out in a year and maybe they don’t – OF they don’t – we are back in the same position next season – selling for a loss lol. Great policy. Unless we at the very least break even the best thing to do would be a loan to prop up their values – then sell if we have to – or if they are given the time to develop like they should we can keep them.

      1. Lolololol was thinking about this the other day. One got promoted, the other fired 😂
It’s.like here you go the one that recommended the players in the first place e

  3. Tonali, theo, leao nobody excelled on their first season ar milan. Imagine if they were to leave milan after one season. It’s hard to imagine milan in a place where there will be sustainable growth. Next season milan might not be a milan we want to see for the next 3-4 years.

  4. Maldini wasn’t very good at offloading players at a profit, except for the 12m for Hauge. Maybe Furlani’s team will sell better.

    1. Furlanu have worlds best players to sell.
      Whom did Maldini have?
If Maldini sell those 3players,2years before the contract kessie,Chalhanoglu, dollarumma they were nothing and unknown quantity to anyone.
Maybe hardly 30million we could have got it.
But everyone compare their price at their exit.

  5. Pioli request -> Moncada scout -> Maldini buy (with Elliot money) -> if players flop /Pioli can’t use the new players -> clown will spend 35m max but all player is transferable with right price (his price), if anyone complain just blame Maldini.. perfect profitable plan

    1. Why dont maldini coach then ? So you cannot blame pioli & moncada anymore. Maldini sign the player and play him use his tactic . You defend maldini so hard but blame and mocking other person like pioli & moncada. Perhaps maldini are the god saint with no mistake and cannot be sacked while pioli ,moncada ,furlanj are just trash in your eye

      1. Moncada, Maldini, Massara, and Pioli should share the blame. Cardinale should have called all of them together to discuss and evaluate what went wrong instead of sacking without much discussion.

        1. Scout like moncada can only recomendation but have no power to signing or buy player. Pioli dont have voice too choose player . I recomended you to sign maguire or braithwhite , would you as director technical sign them ? No of course , because you have power to choose and your choice can bring you fame & success or mistake that make you sacked . But thats not the only reason he got sacked , because he asked full power like galliani for transfer market so he can sign without furlani

          1. The failure is not only about chosing the one who was signed. It is also a scouting report failure and player integration failure.

Why did the scout recommend CdK as AM? Why did the coach keep forcing CdK to play as AM?

His heat meap at Brugge in 2021/23 clearly show that he is not AM.

  6. Whoever is at the fault, I think Pioli is at his limit and he needs to go. His attacking tactics has been poor and he can’t accommodate players. CDK is a world class talent and he performed well in high stage. Same goes for Origi. But Pioli has not used them according to their styles. He wants Origi to link up with the wingers rather than try to break through the lines. Origi was never a link up player anytime.
