Tuttosport: Mandzukic and Ibrahimovic can play together – Milan not worried tactically

By Isak Möller -

Mario Mandzukic alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic is much more than a dream, or a market suggestion if you wish. Milan are seriously evaluating the Croatian and could bring him in for the remainder of the season.

As Tuttosport highlights (via MilanNews), the Rossoneri are looking for reinforcements and the Mandzukic hypothesis is indeed very tempting. He has a lot of experience and could play an important role in what will be a tough Scudetto race.

Furthermore, the 34-year-old wouldn’t just be a be an alternative to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but also a potential partner up front. Mandzukic has shown before that he can play on the left-wing, making him a very functional player.

The tactical aspect, therefore, doesn’t worry Milan at all. If anything, the main concerns are related to Mandzukic’s athletic performance, given that he hasn’t played a game for several months.

But those who know him, as the newspaper underlines, know that the striker is eager to play for a big club again. The Croatian, just like Ibra, thrives on stimuli and can’t wait to get back in the game.
