Tuttosport: Milan aim to close deals for duo to strengthen full-back positions

By Isak Möller -

Milan are working hard to reinforce the squad ahead of what will be the most important season in many years, finally back in the Champions League. And one of the fronts they need to reinforce is the full-back one.

According to today’s edition of Tuttosport, as cited by MilanNews, the Rossoneri have set their sights mainly on two players: Diogo Dalot (Man Utd) and Junior Firpo (Barcelona). The former, of course, was on loan at the club this past season.

The idea of Milan is to negotiate a permanent deal for the Portuguese right-back, or potentially a loan with an option to buy. Man Utd’s demand has been the obstacle so far but perhaps the situation will change in the coming weeks.

As for Firpo, he has the same agent as Brahim Diaz and Paolo Maldini views him as a good deputy for Theo Hernandez on the left. It remains to be seen if the deals can be closed, but that is the goal of the club.

  1. All these rumors of us trying To resign Dalot must mean the club does not in vision Kalulu as a RB…Dalot was fine but def not worth 15-17m for a back up. He didn’t outplay Theo or Calabria do not sure we should spend crazy amounts of $$ on backups when we have more pressing needs like RW, Striker, ACM and CB – esp if we sell Roma.
