Milan are looking to bring in a No.10 for the attacking trio this summer as the future of both Hakan Calhanoglu and Brahim Diaz is very uncertain. Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara, in fact, are following several players.
According to today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), the first choice is Rodrigo De Paul. However, as Udinese want around €40m to part ways with their star, Milan could be forced to look elsewhere this summer.
In addition to De Paul, the likes of Josip Ilicic and Matteo Pessina are also on their wish list, both currently at Atalanta. The former could be a low-cost opportunity, due to his age, and the same can be said for the 24-year-old.
That is because Milan have a 50% resale clause for the midfielder, who left the club for Atalanta back in 2017. In short, this means that the Rossoneri could get the player with a 50% discount, making a deal feasible.

get both. Ilicic for squad depth and Pessina for future.
Try for Ruslan Malinovskyi. He is better than both and is in his prime. Stats are also excellent.
As far as I know – Pessina is a Central Midfielder and Not Trequartista.
If we sign both they are depth players at best. Still need a starting ACM. At the stage in his career Ilicic is a back up and occasional starter and Pessina is good but unproven. We need a dynamic player. Don’t think either is CL material IMO.
