Tuttosport: Milan management irritated with Calhanoglu’s attitude during renewal saga

By Isak Möller -

Hakan Calhanoglu is reportedly close to joining Inter after failing to respond to Milan’s contract offer, worth €4m per year. The Inter talks haven’t gone down well with the Rossoneri management, but that’s not the only thing.

According to Tuttosport, as cited by MilanNews, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are irritated with the way Calhanoglu’s has been acting during the renewal saga. Of course, the Inter negotiation is just further proof of this.

The No.10 is yet to respond to Milan’s offer as he wanted to focus on the Euros with Turkey. The more accurate description, however, would be that he wanted to impress and attract the interest of some big clubs.

He failed to with this, as we all know, and the Rossoneri have been more than generous to keep their offer on the table through all this. Despite this, they haven’t even recovered an offer and they are expecting one very soon, but the respect is already gone.

  1. Yes. We want to finish 10th next season i guess! Zaccagni is no match for calhanoglu. We need to spend around 30m for that position. And that of right wing. We should forget about FFP for now.

  2. Let him go… it’s just a waste of salary. He doesn’t love the club nor he is that great player that we can’t move on without him. They play for money..they don’t care what is the financial condition around the world. They just want to suck money.. He only plays well once on the new moon and his attitude and his always depressing mentality sks

  3. Why is anyone surprised let alone disappointed?
Just read up on his shenigangs in Germany when he left HSV for Leverkusen.
I just laugh at Inter who want to replace a guy who’s all about class with someone who has no class at all. I’m sure their fans will love it…

  4. Hi is a good player, but an excellent player have a heart and a sol!
Give him 2 days to decide, then keep him out.
Hi will be only good with Ac Milan, each other club he needs one year or more for be good

  5. Ac Milan management sucks.
They want the good players, but don’t want to pay for them.
We’ll hit the champions with 2nd rate players such as Krunic, no forward worth a cent, & no replacement for Chalanoglu, & be out by the end of 1st round.

  6. Bye bye Milan, watch Hakan shine at Inter next season maybe then you will understand his value. Too long has Hakan played with mediocre players around him and the management disrespecting him for some change hasnt fallen well with him. This is the best thing he could do after so much disrespect from Milan.

    1. Who’s disrespecting who again?

As much as I like the player, Hakan has been anonymous for his first few years, only exploded into form – sort of- after pandemic hits. We showed him so much patience, the ones that we didn’t even show towards Cutrone, Locatelli, Pessina, Piatek, Andre Silva just to name a few. He hold us for hostages, kept stalling to sign and used Euro to advertise himself to the highest bidder. Yet, we still showed patience and waited for him, instead of pulling out the offer like we did to Gigio. And this guy, after all that generosity shown, didn’t even bat his eyes when he decided to move to our crosstown rival just because he could earn a little bit more.

And here some guys at internet named Borafa said we’re the one disrespecting Hakan.

  7. Hakan needed Milan as much as Milan needed him. He was overrated and never played a 💯% rated football in Milan jersey.
Hardworking but very poor accurate technique and shots.
Can’t pass the ball around short or long effortlessly..
    Not a big loss.
We weeding the overrated stars Out one by one .
It’s Milan First before wages and salaries!!

  8. Hakan to me is not a loss to Milan..He is been an overated player who lacks consistency..i just hope Milan will be willing to pay for a suitable upgrade to Hakan..
