Tuttosport: Milan see Leao and Theo as ‘unsellable’ – the reasoning

By Ben Dixon -

Ahead of the upcoming summer, AC Milan will be bracing themselves for offers for several of their stars. However, in the Rossoneri’s eyes, there are two players whom they deem to be ‘non-transferable’.

The 2024 summer mercato is likely to see Milan invest heavily in a new striker and central defender, and with their reported budget, they may have to sell a star to ensure they can afford their targets.

As Tuttosport (via MilanNews) have reported, there are two players they will not consider selling unless offers of €100 million are received – Rafael Leao and Theo Hernandez. The duo have been pivotal to the Diavolo for several years and do not show any signs of stopping this trend.

In recent months, this has shone more than ever, arguably. Regardless of the efforts of the opposition, nothing can be done to stop them in both domestic and European settings.

Rafael Leao has been a long-term target of Paris Saint-Germain, given Kylian Mbappe is set to depart this summer, and reports suggest that if the French giants are to attempt to bring him to the Parc des Princes, it would cost more than €150m.

In Theo Hernandez’s case, there is interest from several European clubs and Saudi Arabia. However, the club are working on a new contract for him, signifying his importance to the club, which he is also reportedly keen to do in the upcoming months.

  1. Maignan could be easily sold. Theo could stay much longer than Leao, who could be sold in 3 years for 200 if he continues to be better year by year.

  2. Because it’s more likely Mike will leave as there are contract issues and both Leao and Theo have said they want to remain. Finding a replacement keeper isn’t impossible, but replacing Leao or Theo could be immensely more expensive.

  3. This article makes no sense at all i am afraid!!!!!
You write the 2 players are unsellable but then say they will be sold for €100 million ….. can you please make up your mind? It is either one or the other.
