Tuttosport: Milan to miss out on €30m+ in transfer revenue with loan trio set to return

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan will likely have to find alternative accommodation for three defenders who are set to return this summer, according to a report.

Calciomercato.com recently reported that directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara are hoping to net a nice treasure from the sale of Mattia Caldara, Andrea Conti and Diego Laxalt very carefully. The central defender returned to Atalanta last winter, the right-back moved to Parma in January and the left-back went to Celtic last summer.

They added that Laxalt has a current valuation of around €9m, Conti’s sale would generate €7m if Parma achieve survival and Caldara’s deal includes a €15m option to buy, therefore a total of €31m is at stake.

According to the latest from Tuttosport this morning though (via MilanNews), the three players will in fact return to Milan at the end of the season as Atalanta, Parma and Celtic are not interested in making their stay a permanent one.

  1. Is it the coach or the management who are making a mess ? We get players who look promising but we do not make use of them. Then we put all our hopes on a player who is always out on sick leave.
