Tuttosport: Rangnick eyes €42m Chelsea midfielder as part of three-man Milan wish list

By Oliver Fisher -

Ralf Rangnick already has three targets in mind ahead of taking the job as AC Milan’s next manager this summer, according to a report.

There continues to be constant speculation in the media regarding Rangnick’s potential arrival at Milan, with some outlets reporting the deal is practically done while others believe it hinges on a face-to-face meeting between the German and the club’s hierarchy.

Tuesday’s addition of Tuttosport reports that Rangnick is pushing for a full and total agreement with Milan but the club are stalling ahead of the resumption of the season.

The paper (via MilanLive) also provides some information on three players that are being chased ahead of the upcoming window.

The first is midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, currently on loan at Monaco who have a €42m option to buy (as per GFFN). Milan like the player but his salary would have to be reduced a lot in order to return to the Rossoneri.

Red Bull Salzburg star Dominik Szoboszlai is also on the Diavolo’s radar, but there is stiff competition to consider and a price tag of €20m.

From Portugal, there is talk of an agreement reached between Milan and Benfica for Florentino Luis. However, Lucas Paquetá would not be included in the deal due to the high engagement.
