Sandro Tonali is slowly starting to work with his teammates again at Milanello and it looks like he will be available against Atalanta on Sunday. Midfield options are not lacking for Stefano Pioli, though.
Tonali missed the first game of the season due to a muscle injury and he will be eager to make his first appearance of the campaign. However, it’s uncertain if Pioli will risk him from start, even though it’s an important game.
As stated by Tuttosport (via MilanNews), midfield options are not exactly lacking for Pioli. Rade Krunic is the favourite to start, should Tonali fail to make it back, but the likes of Tommaso Pobega and Yacine Adli are also in the running.
A midfielder could still arrive from the market, as Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are evaluating the matter, but it’s also clear that Milan already have decent depth. Decent might not be enough this season, though.
