Italy’s U17 side came back from 2-0 behind to win 5-3 against Belgium’s U17 side earlier today, securing a crucial win in the Euro qualifiers. AC Milan duo Francesco Camarda and Mattia Liberali were behind almost everything, with the former getting a hat-trick.
Milan’s Primavera side has been heavily praised this season, reaching the semi-final of the UEFA Youth League, and the success was reflected in the international call-ups for this break. Today, two of the stars showed just how important they are for Italy as well.
We are of course talking about Camarda, who scored a hat-trick in the game against Belgium, and Liberali who converted a penalty (which Camarda won) with great composure. These two were behind every goal except the last one, helping Italy turn the game around completely.

Ignazio Abate will be watching his players with a smile on his face, knowing that it’s been a slightly tougher period in the league for the Rossoneri. They have clearly not lost confidence, which is a great thing to see.
