Watch: Milan loanee De Ketelaere sings Rihanna’s Umbrella as Atalanta initiation

By Isak Möller -

Charles De Ketelaere has settled in well in Bergamo, not just looking a lot more comfortable on the pitch but also off it. Yesterday, as his Atalanta initiation, he sang the song Umbrella by Rihanna.

The Belgian playmaker left Milan in the summer on an initial loan deal, and it seems Atalanta are prepared to redeem him after the season. With two goals and two assists so far, he has shown his qualities with the Bergamo side.

During a team dinner last night, the initiations for the new arrivals took place and De Ketelaere decided to sing Umbrella by Rihanna. He seemed to enjoy it as much as his teammates, which is rare for an initiation.

  1. If i was forced to sing at such initiations id sing a tom waits song or something instead of all those balll less tunes the youth listen to nowadays 😀

    1. I don’t think De Keatelaere could pull of a manly song like Goin’ out west for example. Only Ibra could do that one. CDK could maybe pull of Ice cream man of something 😅

      1. 😀 A fellow tom waits fan, i didnt really expect that around here 🙂 Yeah you are propably right but even if cdk could pull off just one of waits’ songs like ice cream man or blow wind blow it would still be a great improvement compared to singing rhiannas stuff. Zlatan might be able to sing something like goin ‘ out west but i wouldnt be too surprised either if he could also sing a tune by goran bregovic or some other balkan musicians 🙂
