According to reports from SkySport, Watford have made a request for the out-of-contract defender Cristian Zapata.
However, they understand that the Colombian would prefer to renew with the rossoneri than move to England.
With the impending departures of Alex and Philippe Mexes, it is highly likely that Milan will at least table an offer to Zapata. Given the current uncertainty hanging over the club in the mercato currently, it can be expected sooner rather than later, or they risk having a very young and thin defensive core.
