AC Milan are looking to strengthen their attacking department this summer as their squad overhaul under new Chinese ownership continues.
The Rossoneri are reported to have set their sights on Bundesliga star Hakan Calhanoglu and the player’s agent Bektas Demirtas has confirmed that AC Milan have been in talks with him over the signing of the 23-year-old.
“There have been contacts between us and AC Milan”, Mr. Demirtas told Funke Mediegruppe (via goal.com).
“AC Milan are one of the best clubs in Europe but I don’t want to reveal the contents of our conversations.”
Calhanoglu is contracted with Bayer Leverkusen until 2019 and his signing would cost AC Milan somewhere in the region of € 20/30 million.
The Turkish international (with a German passport) is not the only striking target of AC Milan. The Rossoneri are known to be long time admirers of Lazio’s Keita (they have already reached an agreement with Lazio but not with the player) and Emil Forsberg whose agent is pushing to leave RB Leipzig and join AC Milan.
