Yesterday afternoon, reports from Spain suggested that Celta Vigo had made an offer for Samu Castillejo, who has been linked with a summer exit as AC Milan are looking to gather funds.

However, speaking at a press conference, the Spanish director denied these reports for two key reasons. Contrary to the reports from yesterday, it seems that the Spaniard wants to stay at Milan.

“Right now, he is far away from us. We talked to his agent about a month and a half ago, but I can’t see him leaving Milan. In addition, the figures of his salary are too expensive for us,” he concluded.

Furthermore, the player’s agent has on several occasions made it clear that no move will take place. Therefore, joining the club last summer, it looks like Castillejo will get one more year to prove his quality.
