According to today’s edition of Il Giornale, AC Milan are tempted to ask Inter about the availability of Mauro Icardi, who is destined to leave the Nerazzurri this summer.
The player reportedly wants to remain in Milan, which would be the main focus of the Rossoneri in potential negotiations. Furthermore, Inter are keen on offloading the Argentine this summer, as the relationship has broken down.
With a move to the Rossoneri, the two Milanese sides would solve their respective issues, while Marotta would avoid reinforcing a direct competitor for the Scudetto, as Juventus and Napoli have shown interest as well.
For now, however, these reports lack confirmation. Even though Icardi’s relationship with Inter has hit rock bottom, it would take some extraordinary to see him wear a Milan shirt. In addition to this, Angel Correa remains the priority for the Rossoneri.
