CM: Rebic will be back for Milan’s clash against Inter bar any surprises

By Isak Möller -

Ante Rebic was forced to withdraw from the Milan squad last night, as they lost to Spezia by two goals to nil. The Croatian was named in the squad but in the end, he wasn’t even on the bench due to a minor injury.

The former Eintracht Frankfurt man suffered a blow during the training session on Friday and initially, it wasn’t deemed too serious. Therefore, he was included in the squad for the Spezia game but the minor issue kept him out anyway.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Milan are hoping to have him available already on Thursday for the Europa League clash against Red Star Belgrade. If he can’t make it, then he should be back for the important derby, bar any surprises.

Rafael Leao didn’t do a great job in the left-wing position last night and it remains to be seen who will start against Inter. The Portuguese youngster did well in the reverse fixture, but Rebic scored a brace against Crotone last time he played.
