CM: Unwanted players and returning loanees – the candidates to leave Milan

Sales and exits will be important for AC Milan this summer to streamline the squad and generate funds to increase the margins with which the management are operating in to bring in new signings.

Calciomercato.com have provided the list of each player that could leave Milan this summer starting with Charles De Ketelaere, who may depart after just one season if an offer of at least €30m arrives.

Ante Rebic is not in the plans and despite having a contract until 2025 the possibility of a return to the Bundesliga exists, where Union Berlin and Wolfsburg have already expressed their interest. The Rossoneri hope to get €10-15m.

Divock Origi scored only twice in his first season and earns €4m net per year, but he did arrive on a free so any sale would be a capital gain. Besitkas and Fenerbahce are keen, while Aston Villa and West Ham could offer him a return to England.

One of Alexis Saelemaekers and Junior Messias should depart on the right wing, with the latter being courted by Torino. Yacine Adli has the possibility of leaving on a permanent deal but also a loan spell is being evaluated, with Salernitana the first to come forward.

A solution is being sought for Fodé Ballo-Touré who has admirers in Turkey and France, then the idea is to sign a new deputy to Theo Hernandez.

Then there is also the situation linked to the many players returning from loans, such as Marko Lazetic who is returning from Altach and should head back out on loan.

Lorenzo Colombo did well with Lecce and he will return to Milanello when the club activate their buy-back. His situation will be evaluated in the best possible way, and a new loan is possible.

Daniel Maldini and Mattia Caldara will not with relegated Spezia and a farewell will be studied for them, given their contracts expire in 2024.

Marco Nasti and Marco Brescianini were fundamental for the survival of Cosenza and each should be sent out on another loan.
