CorSera: Fassone and Han Li fly to London; Milan could sell majority share

By Oliver Fisher -

There is optimism surrounding AC Milan’s financial situation, with reports claiming that a recent trip to London may have found a partner for Yonghong Li.

The long-awaited verdict from UEFA is expected to arrive shortly, in which the Rossoneri will find out if they can play in the Europa League next season.

However, the last few hours have reportedly been very important on another front, namely the search for the new economic partner for Yonghong Li.

According to Thursday’s edition of Corriere della Sera, Marco Fassone and Han Li’s recent trip to London has provoked renewed optimism.

The two, accompanied also by the commercial director Giorgetti, flew to the English capital where they met one of the two possible partners who remained in the running. The big news however is that there is not only the possibility of a minority shareholder coming in, but also that of a majority.

The potential new partner wanted to improve their knowledge of all the aspects concerning the club, including that of commercial revenues.

The analysis of the AC Milan accounts began some time ago – the paper claims – and the close is now not expected to be far away.
