CorSport: Ibrahimovic set to miss Genoa game with duo battling to replace him

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan will find out the disciplinary sanction that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will face today, while there are two players battling to replace him in the line-up.

The Swede was sent off during Parma-Milan after a verbal altercation with referee Fabio Maresca and although the audio and video available appears to show there were no insults, il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanLive) writes that he will likely miss Milan-Genoa on Sunday at 12:30.

Therefore, Stefano Pioli will again have to resort to a plan B for the attack and the two forwards battling to replace Ibrahimovic are Mario Mandzukic and Rafael Leao. Both have returned from their respective muscle injuries and offer very different skill sets, while both are ready to start too.

The Croatian is a more physical and muscular striker, similar to the characteristics of Ibra, but the Portuguese on the other hand knows how to move with speed across the frontline even if he is naturally a winger.
