CorSport: Milan schedule meeting with Sassuolo as Frattesi race is wide open

By Isak Möller -

Davide Frattesi has ended up on the radar of every single big Italian club, by the looks of it, and AC Milan will make their attempt next week. In fact, a meeting has been scheduled with Sassuolo.

Milan need a midfielder to bolster the squad, not just because of their depth issues but also the injury of Ismael Bennacer. The Algerian will be out until the end of the year and the Rossoneri thus need a solid replacement.

Frattesi, at the age of 23, has attracted the interest of several big clubs and he recently made it clear that he wants to stay in Italy. As per today’s edition of Corriere Dello Sport (via MilanNews), the likes of Milan, Inter, Juventus, Lazio and Roma are interested.

Inter appeared to be in pole position just a few days ago but they need to sell before accelerating. Therefore, the race is currently wide open and it remains to be seen if Milan will proceed with their interest after meeting Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali next week.
