Footmercato: Changes expected in Milan’s attack – two to renew and two to leave

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s attacking department could be set for a refresh of sorts as Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Divock Origi are currently expected to leave.

According to Footmercato, Ibrahimovic’s current contract – which runs out at the end of the season – will not be extended. The Swede is out with a thigh injury that will see him miss the next few games, raising more doubts about his condition.

The striker has already missed most of the season following his knee surgery last May and though he returned to the field on February 26, he suffered a thigh problem on international duty with Sweden.

It remains to be seen whether Ibra will want to continue his playing career elsewhere or whether he is open to a role away from the field.

Santi Aouna goes on to add on Twitter that Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud ‘will extend’ their contracts but Divock Origi ‘will not be kept’.
