AC Milan boss Gennaro Gattuso spoke to the media ahead of this weekends clash with Lazio.

They currently sit one point behind the Rossoneri with a game in hand, making this match up extremely crucial.

Milan have one point in their last four games, and with rumours that Gattuso’s job is under threat, the former midfielder is eager to transform recent struggles.

“Lazio will be a final for us. If we want to qualify for the Champions League then we cannot lose this game. All three points are a must if we are to remain focused on our objective.”

“We have to focus on our task at hand but yes, there have been mistakes against us. We cannot use this as an excuse however. We did well against Juve but luck was not on our side.”

“Piatek has been doing great. He has been working hard and so are the other players as well.”

Following the controversial Juventus clash, Sporting Director Leonardo went as far as to call the official “inadequate“.
