GdS: AC Milan hold meeting with agent of star Ligue 1 winger

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan held a meeting with the agent of Rennes winger Ismaila Sarr on Saturday ahead of a possible summer move, a report claims.

Sarr arrived at Rennes back in summer 2017 for a fee of €17m and has been in red hot form this season, scoring nine goals and amassing eight assists in 33 games.

The forward drew compliments after his exploits at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, and back in July it was claimed that Arsenal, Barcelona, Juventus, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool were all interested.

It is no secret that the Rossoneri are after a wide player, with Gerard Deulofeu and Yannick Carrasco have most seriously linked in January, while Arnaut Groeneveld, Steven Bergwijn and Stefano Sensi were also mentioned.

According to a report from Sunday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Sarr’s agent -Thierno Seydi – was spotted at Casa Milan on Saturday. Milan were linked with the winger in January.

“He is very fast with an excellent technique,” Seydi – the player’s agent – told SunSport after the World Cup.

“He has the same qualities as Ousmane Dembele of Barcelona. They are similar players.

“I have received many calls from English and German clubs and maybe even one from Italy. Many agents from the UK have called me proposing to work with them and Ismaila to get him to the Premier League. One Italian agent asked to speak with Juventus. The price will be around €50-60m (£44m-£53m).”
