GdS: AC Milan’s XI for SPAL encounter – Bonaventura, Duarte in

By Isak Möller -

After the initial reports arrived from Gazzetta Dello Sport arrived yesterday, the newspaper has now once again confirmed the news with today’s edition. Stefano Pioli will make four changes to the Milan line-up against SPAL.

Following the disappointing defeat away at Roma, the manager wants to grab his first win in charge of the Rossoneri. Therefore, as Gazzetta Dello Sport suggests (via MilanEye on Twitter), he will make four significant changes.

First of all, Duarte will replace Calabria and Conti at right-back, meaning the team will most likely play with a back-three when in possession. That way, Hernandez will have even more freedom to move forward.

In addition to the Brazilian, Bennacer and Bonaventura will also get the chance from start, replacing Biglia and Paqueta respectively in the midfield. With these changes, we can expect to see a different style in the centre of the pitch, more focused on attacking.

Up front, Suso will keep his spot on the right flank, although the newspaper had Castillejo in their probable line-up yesterday. As anticipated, though, Piatek will get the nod ahead of Leao in the centre.

AC Milan (4-3-3): Donnarumma; Duarte, Musacchio, Romagnoli, Hernandez; Bonaventura, Bennacer, Kessie; Suso, Piatek, Calhanoglu.
