GdS: How Milan plan to cope with the injuries of Ibrahimovic, Saelmaekers and Leao – graphic

AC Milan’s impressive 3-1 win over Napoli on Sunday night came at a cost as it has been confirmed Zlatan Ibrahimovic will miss the next few games with a hamstring injury.

According to Monday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan do have solutions in mind to replace the Swede, who is likely to be out for 2-3 weeks with a provisional return pencilled in for the Parma game in mid-December.

Ante Rebic is expected to be the centre-forward in Ibrahimovic’s absence, and he will be deputised by the 18-year-old Lorenzo Colombo while Ibra is out.

That means that Jens Petter Hauge is set for more playing time as the left winger given Rafael Leao will also be out for the next two or three games as well, leaving Hakan Calhanoglu as the only playmaker.

That is because Samu Castillejo will become the new starting right winger given Alexis Saelemaekers’ ankle sprain, so Brahim Diaz will be the deputy on that flank.
