AC Milan’s will have short of cash in the incoming transfer window, as the Chinese buyers are likely to postpone the club’s takeover to February due to bureaucratic reasons.
According to today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the club’s designated director of sport Massimiliano Mirabelli is still travelling around Europe trying to spot the best players to take at the San Siro in January, but cash shortage will force the Serie A giants to have a poor transfer window in January.
Sebastian Rudy, Cesc Fabregas and Keita Balde are Mirabelli’s top transfer priorities, but neither of them can join AC Milan for free or on a loan deal. The Hoffenheim midfielder’s contract, however, expires at the end of the season and Mirabelli could negotiate the player’s transfer as a free agent at the end of the current campaign.
A part from Rudy, Mirabelli could also decide to enter transfer talks to sign Atalanta starlet Roberto Gagliaridini, leaving him on loan at his current club until the end of the season.
The Rossoneri’s only way to sign recruits on a permanent deal is selling some of their current team members with Carlos Bacca and Luiz Adriano who are said to be edging closer to the San Siro exit door.
