GdS: Milan have strategy for renewal of key trio – the details…

Three AC Milan stars could be in line for new deals despite speculation two could be sold, a report claims.

The first of the trio is Suso, who has been impressive in preseason thus far, including Saturday’s win over Feronikeli in Kosovo.

Lyon, Roma and Fiorentina have all been credited with interest amid rumours he is considered sellable, but Marco Giampaolo has made it clear he wants to keep him.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that there is no rush with the Spaniard’s renewal as his current deal runs until 2022.

However, a combination of the current €40million release clause and the player’s desire for a pay rise may force the issue.

It cannot be excluded that in exchange for a higher salary, the release clause could be either raised or removed entirely

The second player in question is Gianluigi Donnarumma, who has been linked with a move to PSG again after they sold Kevin Trapp to Eintracht Frankfurt.

It has been claimed that Donnarumma is not considered unsellable by Milan and that a valuation of at least €50m has been placed on his head.

The report claims that the goalkeeper’s renewal is more of an urgent issue, as his agreement with the club expires in 2021 and the club have no intention of letting him go into the last year of his deal.

The 20-year-old currently earns €6million-a-year from Milan, and there are no intentions of raising that amount, but instead it could be spread over one or two more years. Negotiations – especially with Mino Raiola – will not be easy.

Finally, Giacomo Bonaventura’s contract expires in next summer and his renewal is also on the list of things to negotiate.

The midfielder is 29 years old and will likely be looking for good terms before he naturally starts to decline, but the player’s desire to stay should also play a big part.
