GdS: Milan have three-man shortlist as they look to solve midfield depth issue

By Isak Möller -

With just one month left until the start of the 2020/21 season, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are at work to bring some signings to Stefano Pioli. Among other things, they need to reinforce the midfield.

As highlighted by Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews.it), Franck Kessie and Ismael Bennacer are the only reference points for next season. This became evident after the season restart, as no one was able to live up to their standards.

Furthermore, Lucas Biglia and Jack Bonaventura have already left the club as their contracts expired. Rade Krunic and Lucas Paqueta could also say goodbye before the transfer window closes, meaning signings are needed.

In addition to Tiemoue Bakayoko, the Rossoneri are monitoring the situation of Florentino Luis and Matteo Pessina. The latter is owned by Atalanta and Milan added a 50% resale clause when they sold him to them, meaning they can get him for half the price.
