GdS: Milan player ratings for draw against Atalanta – Calhanoglu, Donnarumma the best

By Isak Möller -

Despite missing three key players – Alessio Romagnoli, Theo Hernandez and Ismael Bennacer – Milan managed to claim a point against Atalanta. They even had chances to win the game, keeping the Bergamo side quiet.

Hakan Calhanoglu gave the Rossoneri the lead with a stunning free-kick in the 14th minute, continuing his fantastic form. In fact, he has scored three goals and assisted an additional five in the last four games, which is very impressive.

In their player ratings, Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews.it) named the Turkish midfielder as the best with a rating of 7. Gigio Donnarumma received the same, making a crucial penalty save in the first half along with several other good saves.

Simon Kjaer, Ante Rebic and Rafael Leao all got 6.5 while the rest of the team got 6. Alexis Saelemekers and Lucas Biglia, though, were the only ones that didn’t pass the test, rated at 5.5 and 5 by respectively by the newspaper.

Milan will take on Sampdoria on Wednesday evening and with just two games left, they will need to win both to have a chance at a top-five finish.
