GdS: Milan scoop eight awards at the 2022 Gran Galà del Calcio

AC Milan’s Scudetto win in 2021-22 has seen the club and squad rack up a lot of awards at the Gran Galà del Calcio AIC 2022.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) write that the event – which was organised by AssoCalciatori in collaboration with the DA, the agency of Demetrio Albertini – awarded the protagonists of the 2021-22 season in Serie A.

It was therefore obvious that the Rossoneri might do well on the night given they beat Inter to the league title, the club’s first in 11 years, and the end result was no fewer than eight awards. The main three are as follows: Milan were crowned best club, Stefano Pioli thebest coach and Rafael Leao the best player in the league.

Goalkeeper Mike Maignan and defenders Fikayo Tomori and Theo Hernández were named in the team of the season, while the French left-back was given the award of goal of the season for his incredible run against Atalanta at San Siro.
