Gianluigi Donnarumma is Milan’s prized jewel and the new owners are keen on building the future team around the phenomenal goalkeeper. “He is a pillar of the club’s future,” Fassone said at new ownership’s opening press conference on April 14.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport and Corriere della Sera, there have already been initial contacts between Fassone and Donnarumma’s agent Mino Raiola.

There are many top teams chasing the 18-year-old Italian international, but Milan’s intention is to present an important offer to him, his family and Raiola in order to tie the youngster to the club.
More contacts will take place next week between the parties, as it is expected that an appointment will be scheduled to discuss one of the priorities of the Chinese group.
