Journalist Pietro Balzano Prota has answered a number of questions on a range of topics regarding the Milan transfer market.
He went on a Twitch stream to give some information on the upcoming mercato, and we have compiled a summary of what was said below, with thanks to @SightsMilan on Twitter.
On Boga: Boga is liked by many clubs, Milan are monitoring him and try to understand his situation. Prota believes 20M is a quite small price and that Sassuolo will try to monetise more from him.
On Kessie: Franck Kessie attracts the interest of Rino Gattuso who is convinced that he can make Kessie play at 100% in Napoli. However, Napoli must solve the Allan situation first.
On the Primavera: One of Pobega and Brescianini will remain in the senior squad.
On Theo Hernandez: PSG are interested in Theo Hernandez but Milan are not interested in any sale. However, the club is curious to see how much PSG can push it, even though it’s not really the time to spend 50-60M on a left-back.
On Szoboszlai: Szoboszlai, at the moment, is one of the hottest objectives of our club: the price-quality ratio, Moncada and Rangnick’s sympathy are the main factors of his importance in the transfer preferences. Lazio’s Igli Tare is also interested.
On scouting: Milan’s scout team are vigilant in South America. Milan have observers at the U20 World Cup. Two names in particular: central defender Bruno Fuchs (19) from Internacional Porto Alegre (who have financial problems) and also Diego Rosa (17) from Gremio.
On Kouassi: Milan want to bring him on a free, staff are at work to convince the player and his family. It is not easy because he’s a great youngster and he costs 0, Milan are really trying to reach him before other clubs. Leonardo is trying his best to keep him.
On Gianluigi Donnarumma and Alessio Romagnoli: Radio Rossonera believes Gigio Donnarumma will stay at Milan. The keeper wants to stay and the club doesn’t want to sell him in this particular time. Romagnoli will renew as well.
On right-back: Most likely Calabria will leave, while Milan are working on Dumfries.
On ownership: Milan is owned by Elliott and that will stay the same for the time being.
On midfield: In midfield there will be a revolution, only Bennacer is sure of his stay.
On Kaio Jorge: Juventus have been the only Italian club interested in him, but the Brazilians wanted 60M for him. He will very likely join Barcelona.
On Kilian: Pietro has no info on Luca Killian from Paderborn.
