Juventus boss Allegri drops major hint over possible AC Milan return

Former AC Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri has dropped a hint that he could possibly return to the club at some point in the near future.

Reports on Monday stated that Gennaro Gattuso will be sacked even if he guides the team to a now unlikely top four finish, with the team having accrued just five points from their last eight Serie A matches.

Mauricio Pochettino has been touted as a potential replacement for Gattuso, but could Max Allegri be a shock candidate too?

Allegri was a guest on ‘Che tempo che fa‘ recently and he was asked about him leaving Milan for Juventus. Allegri’s response was somewhat of a shock: “Now back to Milan. A couple of years and I’ll be back.”

While at Juventus, Allegri has lead the team to two Champions League final appearances and four Serie A titles in his four years at the club.

Allegri is widely regarded as one of the best managers in the world, and was of course the last Milan boss to lift the Scudetto as he did in the 2010-11 season.
