Tuttosport: Milan’s potential midfield revolution – three possible exits and four new additions

By Oliver Fisher -

There could be some major movements in the midfield department this summer as AC Milan are targeting a couple of potential signings.

Today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanLive) speaks of a real revolution in the department and everything will start from the now certain departure of Franck Kessie, who will leave upon the expiration of his contract with no chance of an extension.

Milan could also get rid of another midfielder who has certainly not given positive signs so far in Tiemoué Bakayoko, who is on a two-year loan from Chelsea but could be sent back early.

This is why there could be two signings in midfield in view of next season and the first choice target is Lille midfield Renato Sanches, a player highly thought of by the management and labelled as Kessie’s ideal heir.

In addition to the Portuguese – for whom the talks have already begun – Milan are also aiming for another midfielder who can play in the pivot and they are after Jordan Veretout of Roma, who could leave at a favourable price given he does not seem to be central to Jose Mourinho’s plans.

Then, Yacine Adli will arrive and he can play deeper if needed, while Tommaso Pobega will return from his loan at Torino and could be part of the plans. The future of Rade Krunic hangs in the balance as his playing time has decreased, the report adds.
