ML: Kessie through to Romagnoli – Milan’s possible penalty takers vs. Juventus

By Oliver Fisher -

The prospect of the Coppa Italia semi-final between AC Milan and Juventus being decided via a penalty shootout must be considered.

In the event of a 1-1 score between the two sides on Friday evening in Turin, it will be up to spot kicks to decide who will contest the final in Rome.

As MilanLive notes, Zlatan Ibrahimovic – the most experienced Milan sniper from 12 yards – will not be available to do his usual duties as he is suspended.

The first choice will be Franck Kessie as he is the back-up penalty taker anyway, and the Ivorian has a great record for the Rossoneri.

Pioli will then be able to count on other players like Ante Rebic, Giacomo Bonaventura, Hakan Calhanoglu and Lucas Paquetà – all of whom are likely to be on the list due to their more technical nature.

The report adds to watch out for captain Alessio Romagnoli, who last year in the semi-final against Lazio (decided on penalties) he scored the winning spot kick.

Maurizio Sarri has plenty of choice too: from Cristiano Ronaldo to Dybala, passing through Miralem Pjanic, Leonardo Bonucci and Douglas Costa.
