MN: Compact play and less nerves – how Milan can recover from negative spell

By Isak Möller -

The last few weeks have been tough for Milan, losing two consecutive games in the league and just about making it through in Europa League. Therefore, a reaction is needed from the team tomorrow, taking on Roma.

As highlighted by Pietro Mazzara of MilanNews, tomorrow’s clash is an important opportunity for the Rossoneri to keep Roma at a distance. Taking the conditions into account, a draw would be a good result in the Champions League race.

Certainly, it would be a lot different from the draws against Red Star Belgrade, which left a bitter taste for Milan. In order to revive themselves, they will need more compact play fewer nerves, recovering the mental strength of 20 days ago.

In short, they need to raise their heads, isolate themselves from external factors and return to grinding out the results. Considering how tough the last few weeks have been, it won’t be easy but a good result tomorrow is the perfect start.
