MN: History repeats itself at Milan and Kessie will fight until the bitter end

By Isak Möller -

History is repeating itself at AC Milan as Franck Kessie, one of their key players, is expected to leave on a free transfer in the summer. It’s very clear that he will stay professional until the end, though.

Last year, it was Gigio Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu that decided to leave Milan at the end of their respective contract. This year, it will almost certainly be Kessie and perhaps also their captain Alessio Romagnoli.

As highlighted by MilanNews, though, it has become very clear that Kessie will remain professional and give his all for the club until the summer. We saw it against Napoli and frankly, we saw it from both Calhanoglu and Donnarumma as well.

The reality is that the duo massively helped Milan finish in second place last season and Kessie now finds himself in the same position. He will most likely play from the first minute against Empoli tomorrow and it will be another important opportunity to shine.

  1. Frank Kess should by now have learned from Hakan and Gigio that leaving Milan will only nothing but bringing a curse so called “shaky performance”. Milan will win the Scudetto this season I bet on it…Frank I think will wait until the last 2 or 3 games to still decide if he will extend or move away from AC Milan…there Isa chance he will stay!

      1. Haha calha is taking his usual nap mid season, virtualy a ghost in midfield, Donna went to psg for free but he might just cost them hundreds of millions, given that mbappe is a whole lot more likely to leave on a free due to all the disappointments in Ch-league, not to mention the money the would have got if they had gone on to win it , (Lord knows they have the quality)…Leonardo must be bashing his head right about now, wishing he left the crybaby at milan, I mean, how can you blame others when you started the Madrid comeback??

  2. Why should we be bothered that he is leaving. Milan will certainly find a better replacement. At this point, We don’t need players who try to hold us as hostage.

    1. “Better replacement” is a bit over the top don’t you think?…we’ll be very Lucky to land one who is even at the same caliber as Frank ‘the tank’

  3. This article so wrong in lord Hakan term. He is flop in his last year contract and play like uninterested anymore, that causing 10 vs 11 player each time lord Hakan starter. We are just lucky win with kessie penalty in last match to secure CL spot . Next season no more player have 1 years contract in starting team due to their contract still 2 or 4 years left so they can focus on field
