MN: Pioli could use Krunic as a tactical solution in No.10 role against Inter

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan will take on Inter tomorrow and it seems Stefano Pioli has already decided the starting XI. There is one question mark, however, and it’s the No.10 role as Brahim Diaz recently returned from Covid-19.

As highlighted by MilanNews, the manager will have to choose between Brahim Diaz and Rade Krunic. Both have started the season quite well but it’s clear that the Real Madrid loanee is the better option in terms of quality.

Krunic, on the other hand, is very flexible and could work as a tactical solution for Milan tomorrow. Marcelo Brozovic will be a key man for Inter and the No.33 of the Rossoneri could man-mark the Croatian, thus neutralising him.

Obviously, it wouldn’t be a very popular choice as the fans want to see Diaz, despite the somewhat poor performance against Porto. He needs time to regain top form but when he has a good day, he can decide the game on his own.

  1. I’d love to see him try Rebic as the support ST next to zlatan and let Rebic and Leao play off each other in place of a proper no. 10, their movements in and outside would confuse a defense and open up some holes for Zlatan who likes to drop back and have the ball at his feet already.
