One of the departments that AC Milan are looking to upgrade, or rather rejuvenate, is the attack as Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Olivier Giroud aren’t getting any younger. The latter, however, has become a certainty.
After his injury struggles at the start of the season, Giroud has managed to find consistency and he has been quite successful this year (7 goals and 4 in all competitions). In other words, Stefano Pioli can count on him.
As highlighted by MilanNews, there has been a lot of discussion about the future of Ibrahimovic, whose contract will expire in the summer. At the age of 40, a renewal isn’t certain and Milan are also looking to bring in a younger profile.
Regardless of the Swede’s future and the potential arrival of Origi, though, it’s clear that Giroud has become a certainty for the team. He knows what it takes to score important goals (as we saw vs. Inter and Napoli) and his experience is also crucial for what is a very young squad.
Giroud is the man …he is a proven winner and he oozes class ,technically he is the best ,he holds the ball up so well ,using his great strength and his awareness around the 18 yard box is second to none .
I have always rated this player..Just love to see him break the record of France,s greatest ever goal scorer.
Never rule him out ,he can do it ..AC MILAN have a very exciting team ,with experience of Giroud I believe
we will win the scudetto..
