MN: Pioli delighted as trio of youngsters has started to shine for Milan

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan have started the season very well with 13 points in the bag after five games, which is what they had at the same point last campaign. Stefano Pioli has his players to thank for it and above all three of them.

As highlighted by MilanNews, the likes of Sandro Tonali, Brahim Diaz and Rafael Leao have really stepped up for the Rossoneri thus far. They have been praised in the past as well, but now they’re starting to perform on a consistently high level.

Tonali, as we know, didn’t have the best of debut season with Milan and Brahim Diaz didn’t always get the chance. As for Leao, we have seen glimpses of what he can do but this season, he has shown it more often.

Pioli, of course, is delighted with their respective development and the Rossoneri are really benefitting from it. Milan made an effort to bring in Tonali and Diaz this summer (following loan spells) and they also said no to all the offers for Leao.

Luckily, this is now paying off and it remains to be seen how far the Rossoneri can go this season. Certainly, it looks like they will be up there.

  1. In term of Ibra condition, Milan may need a new striker in January. Another player needed in January is a playmaker. Kalulu may need more minutes to be more ready as backup for Calabria. However, more assesment are still needed for Messias and Pellegri. Hopefully, we will see Pioli plays Messias soon.
