MN: Probable Milan XI for crucial Atalanta encounter – Leao to start up front

By Isak Möller -

Milan will have a strong XI to rely on for the game against Atalanta, despite the absence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. This is obviously a boost for Stefano Pioli, but it also puts more pressure on him with regards to the team selection.

It has been confirmed that Ante Rebic might not be able to play from start tomorrow, as he didn’t take part in the entire training session today. A final decision will be taken tomorrow but it seems another man will start up front.

According to MilanNews, Rafael Leao will get the chance from the first minute and it will be a big opportunity for him to show his quality. He has received some criticism this season and in such a big game, he could silence everyone.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Donnarumma; Calabria, Kjaer, Tomori, Theo Hernandez; Kessiè, Bennacer; Saelemaekers, Diaz, Calhanoglu; Leao.

The game is scheduled for 20:45 CEST and provided that Napoli and Juventus win their games, then Milan will need all three points to finish in the top four. It won’t be easy for the San Siro side, but succeeding would be massive.
