Agent Mino Raiola – who has several clients currently at AC Milan – has reportedly asked the club for clarity regarding the corporate chaos currently unfolding.
The club is essentially in turmoil at the moment with CEO Ivan Gazidis reportedly not even speaking to directors Paolo Maldini and Zvonimir Boban due to the latter’s inflammatory recent interview which will likely see him sacked.
According to MilanNews, the future of many players hangs in the balance, especially those represented by Raiola such as Gianluigi Donnarumma, Alessio Romagnoli, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Giacomo Bonaventura.
Raiola has made it clear that reaching the Champions League is important, but above all a stable climate at the club is the most significant factor.
Over time Gigio Donnarumma is improving more and more, and this season’s performances are evidence of that as he has kept ten clean sheets in the league already, the most in Serie A.
Now, however, the time has arrived for discussions to renew his current contract, which expires in 2021. There have been a few contacts with Raiola so far, but the desire is to continue together.
The future of Ibrahimovic
Although numerous reports have suggested that the departures of Maldini and Boban could alienate Ibrahimovic, whose contract expires in June, Gazidis could convince him to stay.
To do so, he would entrust him with the role of icon on the field and point of reference from which to start again with the new revolution. The player’s will, however, remains to be understood.
Jack on stand-by
The unexpected end of the relationship between Milan and Bonaventura could be accelerated by the contractual situation of the 30-year-old.
His deal also expires in June, and the feeling is that there are is a part of the Rossoneri leadership wants to continue the relationship with Bonaventura while another part does not.
Among the many factors to consider, of course, there are the economic demands, but for a Milan squad lacking experience, the idea of losing Jack for free seems like a risk.
