MN: Seven exits and three signings – Milan preparing for a busy August

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have had the busiest transfer window of any Italian club so far and it promises to be a frantic August too, at least in the minds of the management.

MilanNews writes how Yunus Musah will soon be announced as signing number eight as he is currently undergoing his medical ahead of a €20m move from Valencia, including bonuses.

Now, the priority of the management is to think out the squad and there are seven players up for sale: Mattia Caldara, Fodé Ballo-Touré, Yacine Adli, Charles De Ketelaere, Junior Messias, Divock Origi and Marko Lazetic.

If offers should also arrive for some others (excluding star players) they will obviously be evaluated, but at the moment Milan are working to find a new accommodation for these seven players.

The closest to saying goodbye is De Ketelaere, for whom Milan has already reached an agreement with Atalanta over a €3m loan with a €23m option to buy. The green light of the Belgian is awaited, which could arrive in the next few hours.

For Caldara there is Besiktas, while Ballo-Touré is wanted by Bologna and Werder Bremen. Messias is still being sought by Torino and, Aldi is instead in the sights of Salernitana and Ajax, while Origiit has offers from Saudi Arabia and the Premier League .

Milan hope to be able to close all these exits between now and the end of the window while also thinking of some more reinforcements to shore up the squad, namely a left-back, a central defender and a midfielder.

    1. Wah wah wah wah.

Can’t stop complaining about literally everything. Also LB is more pressing. If Theo is even injured one game who do we play? Kalulu can play as RB and is actually more effective there.

      1. Florenzi and Balo-Toure as an LB.. and I’m afraid Milan won’t sign new LB unless they managed to offload Balo-Toure first..

        1. Florenzi is a RB and can barely play. Ballo-Toure is exiting. What was the point of your post? The article above said we are linked with a LB.

          1. last or two seasons ago when theo’s injured the mister played florenzi as LB instead of balo-toure.. my point is quite clear, unless milan offload balo-toure first then can sign another LB.. right now there is no real deal for balo-toure, like it or not the player kept refusing to move to another club.. so milan stuck with him..

      2. 💯, Kalulu is the perfect right back for us and Calabria and him can comfortably rotate.

We need Kooperminers, we will complete our midfield and not let Napoli strengthen theirs, we should be fully focused on this!. The sale of CDK & Origi should give us the financial clout to manage this.

We don’t need a CB if Simic is promoted and Kjaar stays.

A ST would be good but we want Okafor to feel he is an important player for us as I feel he is the type of player who is at his best when he feels wanted and encouraged.

    2. We have 3 or more players that can play in attack and have 3 players (including 1 currently injured) that can play at RB. There is no crisis. The crisis was having 0 midfield, 2 poor RWs, and 1 striker on Jul 1. All of that has been solved, and the market isn’t even closed yet. You can’t (or shouldn’t) change the entire team in one summer.

    1. When you say world class you think of Lewa, Benz, Suarez, Kane, Haaland, Osi, Martinez, Mbappe etc.
Terami si just a dude who plays in portugal. He is good, but WC good? hue hue hue
