Montella heading towards shock return to AC Milan?

By Isak Möller -

After the recent results, Italian media have begun to question AC Milan manager Gattuso’s ability, as well as his future with the San Siro side.

La Stampa reports that the derby against Inter on Wednesday (Coppa Italia) will be decisive for Gennaro Gattuso’s future with the club, even though he’s only been in charge for six games.

The same source claims that Vincenzo Montella, who was replaced with Gattuso, could make a shock return to the club, should Gattuso fail to satisfy the management against Inter.

  1. Montella was fired at the worst possible moment, after the 5-1 win and 1 of the best AC Milan games of the season against Torino which should always have been a win if 1 of the many chances were finished. So Montella was sackef because of bad luck in these games. But even worse he was replaced right before the Benevento game where any new coach could only lose. This start was a first huge blow to Gattuso. The match against Riejka was another ‘lose only’ game, making things worse for Gattuso. This could only be washed put with great performances in the next games, which is almost impossible with this squad and therefor didn’t happen. Another ex-player coach burned by Milan. If Montella hadn’t been fired we would’ve probably won against Benevento and also the other games wouldn’t have ended worse. It’s best to give the manager job back to Montella unless we can hire a really great coach.

  2. better he montella return and put the boards under a huge condition , he should be able to handle the team himself and not people telling him what to do or to use and not to……he should get his information right this time around not rotating the team before every game , and we want bacca to return instead of that foolish kalinic
