OFFICIAL: AC Milan reject ‘significant’ offer for Romagnoli

News has arrived overnight that Chelsea have made an official offer for Milan defender Alessio Romagnoli.

Although there are no official figures available, the bid is believed to be in the region of €35million plus bonuses. Now Milan will consider the proposal and new director general Marco Fassone will communicate the news to the new Chinese investors to await further instructions.

As Calciomercato.com explained yesterday, the intention of the Rossoneri is to keep the 21-year-old at the San Siro, but we await further developments.

At 14:40 CET on Thursday, Calciomercato.com learned that Milan have rejected Chelsea’s offer for Alessio Romagnoli. Adriano Galliani passed on the Premier League sides offer of €35million plus bonuses to the new Chinese owners who have declined it.

At 15:50 CET the same day, AC Milan have confirmed through their official site that Chelsea’s offer for Alessio Romagnoli has been rejected.
