Photo: The remaining Serie A fixtures for Milan and their top-four rivals

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan are currently fighting for a spot in the top four domestically and secured their spot in the quarter-finals of the Champions League mid-week. Regardless of the latter, though, top four is a must.

In our latest Substack article, which you can read here, we broke down the revenue that Milan have collected from this season’s Champions League. It’s north of €100m, which is great, but also shows just how important a top-four finish it.

Milan are battling it out with Inter, Lazio and Roma as things stand. Inter lost to Spezia last night and Lazio will face Bologna tonight, while Roma play Sassuolo tomorrow. Milan, of course, will take on Salernitana on Monday.

It will be a fight until the very end, or at least so it seems.

  1. Zaniolo is playing as an AM for Galatasary.

He’s made one appearance, off the bench, scored a solid goal, and should have had 1 assist. Could have had another assist.

He’ll find form in Turkey, particularly with his finishing.

Spend the money on him and have some faith in Maldini. Find another way to use CDK.

Don’t spend significant money on average players with limited potential.

  2. Odds are Juventus gets their 15pt penalty restored. If so, it’s basically Roma and Lazio that we have to beat to the top 4, although Inter is wavering and looks in danger of collapse. I think the Porto game is going to be make or break for Inzaghi. So for us, the head to heads against Roma and Lazio are massive, and then we still have to play Napoli and Juventus away. It’s going to be a nail biter…
