Pioli praises Ibrahimovic for Bologna display: “I liked everything he did”

By Isak Möller -

After the missed penalty against Bologna, Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be looking to get on the scoresheet once again, currently on a two-game drought. Tomorrow is a perfect opportunity for him to bounce back.

Milan will take on Crotone at San Siro and they are clear favourites to win the game, having won the reverse fixture comfortably. And since Inter won against Fiorentina, they are under a bit of pressure to reclaim first place in the standings.

Therefore, the Rossoneri need their players to perform tomorrow and Ibrahimovic is no exception, although he was very important vs. Bologna. In fact, Stefano Pioli heaped praise on him during today’s press conference (via MilanNews).

“I saw a very determined Ibra in Bologna, he was decisive. I liked everything he did on the pitch, as well as the whole attacking phase. We created ten scoring chances, it’s very difficult in our league,” he stated.

It remains to be seen if Ibrahimovic will stay at the club beyond this season, though it seems pretty likely. The final evaluations will be made at the end of the season. After all, Ibrahimovic could decide to return home to his family.
