Report: PSG, Real Madrid boosted as Chelsea turn down chance to sign €50m Milan star

By Isak Möller -

The future of Gigio Donnarumma is yet to be decided as his contract with AC Milan will expire in 2021. Of course, he has attracted the interest of several big clubs, having been a star for the Rossoneri in recent years.

According to the latest reports from DailyMail, though, Chelsea have decided to drop out of the race for the 21-year-old. Despite the many reports on their interest, the Blues have decided to focus on Kepa Arrizabalaga for next season as well.

For Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid, this comes as a welcome boost. As was confirmed by SportMediaset a few days ago (via MilanNews), the two clubs are interested in signing Donnarumma, who has a price tag of €50m.

Then again, a contract renewal with Milan shouldn’t be completely ruled out, given Donnarumma’s love for the club. On the other hand, the goalkeeper’s departure would guarantee a full capital gain.
