Reports: Bacca to Villarreal is a done deal

By SempreMilan -

Carlos Bacca has found himself surplus to requirements at Vincenzo Montella’s new-look Milan, following the signing of André Silva and another rumoured top striker.

He has been linked to a host of clubs, including Monaco, Sevilla and Marseille.

However, as Sky Italia and now Gianluca Di Marzio have reported, the club closest to landing a deal for the Colombian target man is Villarreal. He is set to leave on a season-long loan for the 2017-18 season, with an option to buy for Villarreal, paving the way for the 30 year old striker to exit Milan for good.

Bacca was brought into Milan during the summer of 2015, with the €30 million deal being hailed as a turning point in the club’s fortunes. Two years later, he has been shown the door at Milan, with a medical at Villarreal scheduled in the coming hours.

The deal between the Rossoneri and El Submarino Amarillo will see Bacca return to La Liga for a €2.5 million loan fee, with the full purchase of the player priced at €15.5 million.
