Sky: Milan’s probable XI for Spezia clash – Five changes as Krunic and Leao will start

By Isak Möller -

There were bound to be some changes, but few of us expected Stefano Pioli to make this many. The manager has decided to switch things around for tomorrow’s clash against Spezia, making a total of five changes to the XI.

According to Sky Italia (via MilanNews.it), this was confirmed after this evening’s training session at Milanello. The defence will be the same, mostly due to the lack of alternatives, but the midfield will be completely different.

Franck Kessie and Ismael Bennacer are too tired from Thursday’s clash and will thus be rested. Instead, Sandro Tonali and Rade Krunic will play in the midfield tandem, while Hakan Calhanoglu also will get some rest.

Rafael Leao will play from the first minute, hoping to create some dangerous chances from his left-wing position. Brahim Diaz will be the trequartista instead of Calhanoglu, hoping to find Lorenzo Colombo with some good passes.

Milan (4-2-3-1): Donnarumma; Calabria, Kjaer, Gabbia, Hernandez; Krunic, Tonali; Saelemaekers, Diaz, Leao; Colombo.
